Job Description
We are seeking a talented and experienced Shopify Developer to join our team and play a key role in building and maintaining our e-commerce websites on the Shopify platform. As a Shopify Developer, you will be responsible for implementing website designs, customizing themes, and developing new features and functionalities to enhance the overall user experience and drive business growth.
Responsibilities
- Customize Shopify themes and templates to match our brand identity and design requirements.
- Develop and implement new website features, enhancements, and integrations with third-party applications.
- Collaborate with the design and marketing teams to ensure seamless user experiences and optimal website performance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to the Shopify platform, ensuring a smooth and error-free user experience.
- Optimize website performance, page load times, and overall site speed to improve conversion rates and user engagement.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, best practices, and technologies in the e-commerce and Shopify ecosystem.
- Maintain and update product catalogs, collections, and inventory on the Shopify platform.
- Assist in the setup and configuration of payment gateways, shipping methods, and tax settings.
- Implement SEO best practices to improve search engine rankings and online visibility.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery and timely completion of tasks.
Requirements and skills
The candidate must have a working knowledge of:
- Proven experience as a Shopify Developer or similar role with a strong portfolio showcasing previous Shopify projects.
- Proficiency in Shopify liquid programming language and ability to create custom themes and templates from scratch.
- Solid understanding of front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery to customize Shopify themes and user interfaces.
- Experience with Shopify APIs and app integrations to extend the platform’s functionality.
- Knowledge of e-commerce best practices, conversion rate optimization (CRO), and user experience (UX) design principles.
- Familiarity with web analytics tools like Google Analytics to analyze website performance and user behavior.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with the ability to troubleshoot and debug issues effectively.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Experience with version control systems like Git is a plus.
- A passion for staying up-to-date with the latest trends and advancements in e-commerce and web development.
